Grow Your Spirit, Wear Wigs that Work
My mother and I didn’t think the beautiful and confident Amelia Dreskell, my high school BFF, would need a collection of lace front wigs. Her voluminous hair was synonymous with her femininity. But surprise surprise. The one and only is still celebrated for her impeccable looks. Very few think to notice that she utilizes synthetic wigs. It’s not so unusual.
Back in the day as mere children in Arizona, we used to took turns winning Miss “SCH” four years running. Of course, until her alopecia started acting up and her hair thinned spottily. I recommended a few invisible lace wigs. Even so she shrugged it off. The incredible woman aggressively fully owned her innate beauty.
Attending our alma mater’s golf competition, we ate nuts until some kluts retardedly launched the orb (or whatever they play with) into the stands. She jumped up for it when her hand-knitted “head sweater” (her idea) landed in a beer, uncovering her thinning hair. Undisturbed, she lobbed it playfully into the goal. She’s that kind of girl.
But, nobody is perfect. One time she invited me over for a “Gilmore Girls” binge, when she laughed nervously and revealed that she prefers to do without hair as a statement. She could never consider wigs, despite the fact that she knew it was a good idea. Suddenly she miss invincible became beet pink in the face and demanded that I it was silly. I didn’t know what to say.
I wanted to help so bad. The next morning, I talked about getting her a new wig. Finally the two of us arrived at the obvious conclusion: we’d buy each other wigs I used my credit card, and it was worth it.
We had a great time, stunned by the wide selection of hair colors, textures and styles. We never knew that lace front wigs are this fashionable for people, even superstars. These lace front wigs were exactly what she needed. As for me, coordinated a delightfully new wardrobe around my wig. Out of solidarity, forever and always. For my birthday she sent me her thanks for her wig, and disclosed that it invites a fresh spirit that she’d forgotten. It’s my pleasure to see her reclaim her beauty. She’s a better person, with the same confidence.
